Re-Designed: Claire

The thing that this template in its original state lacked more than anything else was structure. I tried to fixed the problem by widening the layout so that the both the main wrapper as well as the side wrapper got more width and substance. And then the second thing that I did was to add strokes between the posts on the homepage which I think also improved the structure issue.

There were the usual font change issues in that I switched from Open Sans to Work Sans since Work Sans is a slightly extended font that gives headlines quite a bit more substance when used lowercase. And when it came to the body font I switched to Roboto for the oppoiste reason in that as a slightly condensed font Roboto gives very good legibility. There was a custom popular posts wideget on the original theme, however it needed quite a bit of brightening up on the background thumbnails and also a different typographic structuring. Once all this was taken care of Claire is a very nice theme that will be really good for personal blogs, especially through a very attractive well proportioned 'recent posts' top slider.

Important! 3rd party responsive Blogger themes have a lot of quirks that you will have to fix which come about every time that you restore a theme.
