Shutter is a beauty of a template with infinite scrolling and a huge top slider that was created by Blossom Themes > > > where one can still see it on their test templates list. However finding the XML file for it is pretty much impossible nowadays. Thankfully, I downloaded it while it was still around, and now decided to take a whack at tweaking it.
Image Swap on Hover with CSS
What I especially wanted to do was to make a light version of it since the one thing that bothered me about it was that it was too dark. And then there were a few details such as making post and widget titles uppercase / smaller / lighter, box borders a bit thinner, and so on, that I also tried to improve upon. But as said, the original theme is really beautiful so it was just a matter of adding a few more touches here and there. You can download my tweak here>>>
Important! 3rd party responsive Blogger themes have a lot of quirks that you will have to fix which come about every time that you restore a theme. So, this is not something that I can resolve with my tweak, there are some things that you, the end user, has to take care of before the theme is fully operational. To find out what these are and how to fix them, please make sure you look at the Instructions Page > > > right after you install the theme.
There are quite a few instructions in this package, especially about adjusting footer widget colors on the light version. But even with all my instructions it may not be very easy to configure the light version, some experience with Blogger HTML editing may still be needed.
And finally, another thing you should be aware of is that the first post image on your "featured" posts which are the ones that will appear on your top slider will have to be large, preferably full width 1920 pixels since you will need that size for good image quality. Below you will see both the dark and lite versions that I made by rolling over the image.
